grandMA
remote
|

The grandMA remote software is a powerful new way to access
almost all of the grandMA's feature set from the palm of your
hand. Each grandMA console can support up to 6 remotes through
a wired LAN (Local Area Network) connection or wireless LAN
connection using the "Wi-Fi" standard 802.11b for complete freedom
of movement.
The grandMA remote software runs on a Pocket PC
and is free of charge. In addition, a grandMA remote PC emulator
is availible for trouble shooting and full remote fuctionality
running a PC.
Most Pocket PC & Wireless Access Points will work
with the grandMA however, If you are planning on purchasing
a Pocket PC solely for this purpose, either be prepared to return
the unit if it does not work or pick one from the list below.

The
above PocketPC's and Wireless Access Points are recommendations
for users who are purchasing new equipment. Typically, any similar
devices that fully support the 802.11b standard will work with
the grandMA network. When connecting a remote to a network of
multiple consoles and/or NSP's, special consideration must be
given to the amount of bandwidth used. Please contact us for
further recommendations and setup tips. |

grandMA
3D
|

grandMA 3D is a free state of the art visualization program
for PC’s running Windows 2000 or X/P. Connection to any grandMA
console is via Ethernet and allows lighting designers and console
operators to visualize their programming in a highly realistic
virtual environment. grandMA 3D uses Direct X technology from
the computer gaming industry and requires no external devices,
such as dongles or interfaces.
Since the grandMA 3D acts as an integral part of a grandMA console,
information only has to be input once as opposed to twice as
with other visualization systems. Once fixtures are specified
in the console they automatically appear on the grandMA 3D software
ready to be positioned in the virtual environment. This 3D positional
information is then stored in the grandMA console show file.

The 3 dimensional environments can be built inside of the grandMA
3D software and any bitmap file can be placed on any surface
allowing for the complete customization of the virtual environment.
grandMA 3D also connects directly to the free grandMA Offline
software, either on the same PC or another PC on the same network.
This means that, completely free of charge, users can preprogram
their shows at home, hotel room or in transit on their personal
computer and then upload their show data via floppy disk or
directly via Ethernet to any grandMA console. Animation files
can be created directly in the grandMA 3D software that will
show camera movements and series of cues from the grandMA console.
These can then be used as client presentations. The complete
offline creation of show lighting, for free!

grandMA
onPC
|

These PC based software applications, which are available free
of charge, allow grandMA users to edit and manipulate shows
without the need for a console. These powerful pieces of software
will work with Windows 2000 & XP on a PC with a 300MHz or faster
processor with 64MB of RAM and Direct X. A screen resolution
of at least 1,024 x 768 is recommended and, if supported by
the PC, multiple monitors can be utilized.
The Offline looks and reacts in the same way as a “normal” grandMA
console and can be set to emulate the grandMA & the grandMA
light front panel configurations, or can be customized if screen
space is limited. The onPC software has all of the same functionality
but consolidates the controls into a more streamlined interface
for greater ease of use.

grandMA
offline
|

By connecting the offline or onPC software to a “real” grandMA
console via Ethernet, show data and console software upgrades
can be transferred without the need for floppy disks. Offline
and onPC can even be used as remote workstations to control
the console, for occasions when an additional console would
be impractical. In addition, either piece of software can be
networked to one or two NSP's, allowing control and DMX output
without the need for a physical console.
The offline and onPC software can also connect to the grandMA
3D visualization software running either on the same PC or on
a separate PC in the network.
