History
Zero 88 Lighting Ltd has been in the entertainment lighting business for some 30 years. The company was founded in October 1972 by four partners of whom Peter Brooks, Richard Thornton Brown and Chris Fenwick are currently directors.
By the end of the seventies they had produced a highly successful range of products targeted at the theatre and club markets.

The integration of effects and conventional control during the 1980s established Zero 88 firmly in the education, small theatre, multi purpose venue and promotional markets.  In the early ‘90s, Zero 88 relocated from St Albans to Cwmbran, South Wales into a new 23,000 sq ft manufacturing facility.
For nearly thirty years the company has maintained a consistent policy of selling only via a distribution network in the UK and overseas. As a result Zero 88 has a very loyal and dedicated distribution chain.

In March 2001, Zero 88 merged with iLight (formerly Dynalite Ltd), one of the largest companies in the UK architectural lighting control systems market, to form the iLight group plc.  Both parties share a common interest in serving the lighting control markets as a whole and agreed upon a “group strategy” to realise these goals.

This strategy has allowed the group to expand the development team and introduce the all-new iLight architectural lighting control system. The ethic of providing professional quality products at affordable prices remains the key driver for Zero 88.
