A.C.T Lighting will amp up excitement at LDI, October 24-26, by
showcasing an array of new and innovative lighting fixtures and
consoles at its booth (#1615).
A.C.T Lighting’s booth will introduce the grandMA2, the new
signature console from industry leader MA Lighting. A.C.T is the
exclusive North American distributor of the grandMA. The new desk
continues grandMA’s dominance in the control of conventional
lights, moving heads, LEDs, video and media for all segments of the
industry. Using the same total control philosophy as the original
grandMA, the grandMA2 allows intuitive and fast programming over all
connected fixtures and channels in appropriate styles. Users will feel
right at home as they integrate the grandMA2 into their current grandMA
control systems. The entire family of grandMA2 products from full-size
consoles to rackmount NPU’s will be on display at the A.C.T
Lighting booth.
Also featured on the A.C.T booth is a trio of LED fixtures from i-Pix
sure to generate interest among attendees eager for greater choice in
LED’s that are innovative, versatile and bright. The BB 7
beamlight, a seven-cell, energy-saving beamlight boasts seven
customized light engines from Lamina that provide a blended RGB output
with no color separation. The 120-watt BB 4 washlight is an
energy-saving, high-power LED equipped with four custom light engines
(also from Lamina), the highest power point source LED available.
Rounding out the trio is the versatile, user-friendly Satellite, a
42-watt RGB self-contained LED wash fixture with power and data
daisy-chaining ability, and the potential to run up to 60 fixtures off
a single 16-amp feed. All i-Pix fixtures feature ultra-smooth dimmer
response, flicker-free operation for film and television use, punchy
light output, virtually zero heat emission, an easy-to-read LCD user
interface, and easy address and set up. i-Pix fixtures have been on
tour with Radiohead, George Michael and The Killers among many other
productions worldwide.
A.C.T Lighting is also the North American distributor for Zero 88
– creators of the popular Frog range of lighting control
consoles. Zero 88’s new generation of sophisticated and
economical desks is designed to provide innovative control of the
latest technology. The Jester TL brings the power and flexibility of
Zero 88’s popular Jester range to those operating in theater
environments. It offers control of up to 120 dimmer channels and 30
moving lights from a numeric keypad using standard industry syntax.
Zero 88’s ORB console combines extreme flexibility with
extensive
capabilities and contemporary styling. An inventive combination of
theater-lighting philosophy and an adaptable hardware platform, ORB
provides intuitive control of the latest LEDs, moving heads and video
systems.
A.C.T Lighting will also be debuting its new line of proprietary
distribution products called DistroTech. The DistroTech product line
features power distribution and motor controllers with
industry-standard connectors and configurations. The units are
UL-listed and will be stocked at A.C.T’s California and New
York
locations.
To round out A.C.T’s offering, Schnick Schnack Systems LED
Media
Systems with also be showcased. These state-of-the-art fixtures offer a
flexible system for both backlighting and the display of animated
graphic images. Their many configurations can be combined to create a
coordinated system with a consistent output that is completely
compatible with existing lighting and rigging technologies, while their
unique LED modulation ensures a smooth, flicker-free display.
